The Foyer of the Plenary Hall
The foyer is adorned with twin white marble pilasters, placed on the perimeter of the hall. The “mirrors” have richly ornamented frames, with geometric and floral stucco and profiles, crystal and brass sconces. The vaults have plaster frames, being separated by double arches with floral motifs. Natural light floods the foyer through a skylight that is richly ornamented with cast bronze elements.
Various activities take place in the foyer of the plenary hall: welcoming senators at the beginning of the legislature, the Christmas tree celebration, thematic exhibitions, etc. News television studios are also set up here, and senators give interviews to the press.
